Linea

My parents named me Linea, a flower that grows throughout the Nordic region - it grows beneath spruce and pine. It blooms very rarely and not for a particularly long time.

Under The Elderflower is my invitation into my world: how I see, hear, and smell the surroundings around me. Folk tales and legends are fascinating. There is more to the world than what lies on the surface. But just because there is more, one need not explain it in detail. The extra is welcome to stay where it is, but we out here in reality simply wish to catch a glimpse of the supernatural.

Together with my husband Bjørn, and our dog and cat, we live on a country house from 1848 - back when trolls and witches were real. H.C. Andersen was still publishing new stories, and bacteria had still not been discovered. The world was simpler, and perhaps more magical.

It was with pencil and brush in hand that I learned to see. Since then I have moved on to clay, photography, wood, and much more, but some themes follow me forever: beauty, depth, vulnerability, superstition, and history.

Sustainability is at the core of my entire process. We print only what is sold and always use environmentally friendly products.
